A road to the sea. Near Esplanada bar, Dili.

As a city Dili is far from being cozy and attractive despite it’s previleged location between deep blue sea and mountains (more like hills). It could be a fantastic unique resort, a favourite residence for retired Europeans and Australians, but instead it’s becoming a typical noisy dirty ugly overpopulated Asian city that everyone tries to flee at any opportunity. This city lacks good management and administration so badly. I don’t even know if there’s a mayor in Dili, at least I’ve never heard or seen anything from him. You always see the President and the Prime Minister at the official ceremonies, but where is the city’s management, why are they hiding in their chilled offices?
